For the first time in our history, children as young as 10 and 11 years old are being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, a disease that can come with life threatening complications. As parents, it is our responsibility to help our children remain healthy. We can influence their health by encouraging healthy cooking habits and more physical activity, like sports or time outside playing. We cannot out live our children.
