Joan Lunden with Robin Williams on Good Morning America - 1991

I couldn't believe it when I heard the news last night that Robin Williams had died. I can honestly say that he was the most spontaneous, electrically charged person I ever interviewed.  Every time I sat down to interview him it was like getting on a roller coaster ride and you just had to fasten your seatbelt. I never knew what was going to happen and that's what made working with him so incredible.  Robin was a refreshing burst of energy and light to our show and for our viewers.  He will be missed by so many, what a sad sad day.
