Over the years I've covered a lot of news and one Good Morning America special I will always remember is when we broadcasted live from Sainte-Mère-Église, in Normandy France back in 1994 to commemorate D-Day's 40th anniversary.  

By WWII's end there were nearly 300,000 women in the U.S services, and in this clip from our GMA special I got to interview three of them. Take a look:
