This morning on the Today Show, I covered an incredible advancement in immunotherapy. I traveled to the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, MD to meet Celine and her doctor, Dr. Steven Rosenberg. After much persistence, Celine was admitted to Dr. Rosenberg's immunotherapy clinical trial. Together with his team, Dr. Rosenberg was able to harvest some of Celine's cells, multiply them in a lab, and re-inject them into her body to fight her metastasized lung cancer.  Her results were incredible and this procedure, while still a clinical trial and not yet suited for everyone, holds tremendous promise for the future of cancer care.
