When it comes to breast cancer screening the different options can become very confusing. Every women's breast are different, which means a certain method of screening or additional forms of screening may be necessary. I have dense breats tissue so I needed to follow up my mammogram with an ultrasound, and it was the ultrasound that detected my cancer. Every method of screening has it pros and cons and with advancements in technology more screening options are becoming available. I am always excited to hear about new ways to help detect cancer. The below video from Stanford University  goes over why some women need different screening methods as well as a new method they are introducing.
