  • Only about 10% of individuals diagnosed with breast cancer have a family history of this disease.
  • On average, every 2 minutes a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer and 1 woman will die of breast cancer every 13 minutes.
  • Over 2.9 million breast cancer survivors are alive in the United States today.

It is important to educate and empower women to take charge of their breast health, as early detection, while not perfect, can help save lives. National Breast Cancer Foundation has also published an eBook guide entitled, What Every Women Needs to Know. This workbook serves as an amazing interactive resource for women and helps explain the different types of breast cancer screenings, how to prepare for a mammogram, how to assess your risks, and more.
