Breast Cancer /

This morning on the Today Show, I covered an incredible new surgical procedure, Breast in a Day. I interviewed NYU Langone Medical Center patient, Courtney Curtin about four weeks after she had this radical new surgery. Courtney's mother passed away due to breast cancer and she tested BRCA positive, so she opted to have this preventative procedure, involving a mastectomy and breast reconstruction during the same operation. Newly engaged, I had the honor of accompanying Courtney to her bridal appointment at Melanie Harris' Studio to try on wedding dresses after our interview. Check out the whole story below!
