Conquering Cultural Stress
So much more is expected of us today – from the hundreds of unanswered e-mails, to the limitless work demands, to all the new rules and regulations, to the increase in traffic causing longer commutes.
The accumulation of challenges we face as part of modern life leads to something I refer to as “Cultural Stress.” It’s a pervasive, nagging stress that can be constant and relentless.
Most people don’t pay attention to Cultural Stress, largely because it has become a way of life. Unfortunately, it affects the entire body and can contribute to serious health problems, inside and out.
The good news is that there is a solution.
My research with thousands of patients led me to the discovery of what I call “Youth Building” – a process that can help anyone of any age return to the time we were happiest – our youth.
Through Youth Building, we can recapture the spirit of joyful living and return to the toddlers within ourselves. For my patients that have incorporated Youth Building and Inclusive health into their lifestyles, we have seen terrific results. Cultural Stress is reduced and overall health is improved.
My latest book, Conquering Cultural Stress in an attempt to share what I’ve found to be the most effective strategy for achieving overall wellness. In the book, I explain in greater detail the science behind Youth Building – and how it actually helps the body’s cells function optimally.
Cultural Stress is a problem, yes – but Youth Building, as a part of an Inclusive Health lifestyle that nurtures a whole person inside and out, is a consistently effective solution. From coloring outside the lines, enjoying and embracing big belly laughs, and singing and dancing for no reason at all, there are many ways to overcome this problem. We just need to make time for ourselves a priority so that we can engage in the Youth Building process.
