My Lumpectomy Surgery: Post-Op

I am out of surgery and feeling quite well. The doctor said everything seemed to go according to plan, however with the location of my cancer being so far back, almost at the chest wall, it was technically difficult for her. The next step is waiting on pathology reports to see if the tissue was clean and disease free. Just in case, they left my "port" in my chest but they do not predict that I'll need further chemo therapy. My spirits are high and I am home recovering with my family.
