Doctor Murad shares an excellent guide to achieving optimal nutrition. He believes that beautiful skin is healthy skin and healthy skin is beautiful. In order to have healthy skin, he recommends an 80/20% diet, where 80% of your intake is in the healthy zone and only 20% is comfort food. He also devised a pitcher of health which highlights the 6 food groups that will give you maximum rejuvenation and optimize your health.

Water: Even thought there is water in vegetables, it is still important to stay well hydrated to be the healthiest we can be!

Supplements: It is difficult to eat perfectly and get absolutely everything we need from our food, so supplements can help  optimize nutrition.

Fats: Good fats, such as omega fats, are good for building strong cells, moderating cholesterol, and supporting nerve function.

Protein: Helps with cell renewal, which keeps organs and body systems functioning at their best.

Whole Grains: Give you long-lasting energy and contains fiber, minerals, and vitamins.

Fruits and Veggies: Best source of water, fiber and nutrients and should be the bulk of your diet
