Congratulations on finding your soulmate! Whether your upcoming wedding is your first or third, there is no reason it shouldn't be everything you want it to be. Here are some tips on how to have a beautiful after-50 wedding.

Pick the Perfect Bouquet

One of the current trends in floral arrangements focuses on simplicity and elegance. This means choosing in-season blooms and complementing colors. You might even choose to have only one or two types of flowers in your arrangements. A professional floral designer can give you guidance on how to put together the bride's  bouquet, the groom's boutonniere, and all of your floral decorations.

Consider All of Your Guests Listening

Certainly, you'll invite many peers to your wedding who are in the same age group as you. However, you'll probably also have your children and grandchildren present. You want everyone to feel welcome, so take this into account when you're putting together your playlist for the reception. Create a pleasant mix of older and newer music.

When you're choosing the newer music, take care to look up the lyrics. That song that your grandkids love might send a message that older individuals find offensive.

Find the Perfect Cake

You may not want to spend the time or money on a single,  elaborate cake. Cupcakes or petit fours are other stylish options that can satisfy your sweet tooth and add a unique element of beauty to the reception.

If you want to go with a traditional cake, browse through magazines to become acquainted with current trends. You'll find that bright colors are popular, but those might be more suitable for younger weddings. Having a different pattern on each tier of the cake is a classy trend that can fit your age and be striking at the same time.

Your wedding should be everything you want it to be, even if this isn't your first time at the altar. For the perfect event, show off your best features, keep it simple and elegant, consider all your guests, and choose the perfect cake. Best wishes on your big day!
